Celadon: Juveniles (Breeder Set)
Celadon: Juveniles (Breeder Set)
These quail lay a gorgeous blue egg. The gene is called Celadon and refers to the color of the egg. The color of the birds is very mixed and has the possibility for some fun combinations. The birds weigh 10 oz at maturity and lay a 12-gram egg. The celadon gene is recessive so although all the offspring of these birds will carry the gene, the only ones to show it will be the ones who have two parents that pass on the gene. The only way to get 100 percent celadon chicks is to have both parents have two copies of the celadon gene.
